The Locations Mapper Plus App differs from the lite version as multiple lists can be created, and displayed via multiple client app parts.
The app comes with 1 example list configured to display 3 locations in London, UK. These can easily be deleted or edited.
The first item in the list must contain initial set-up data for the map as detailed below.
Use the App Site to create, update, and configure your lists:
The first entry in the list contains map setup values. The Title value is used as the location maps title, for example Company Offices or Local sites of Interest. The Latitude and Longitude values are the centre of the map, and the Information value is the zoom value.
The following list items contain the marker pin locations that should be displayed on the map. The Title value is used as the marker pin 'hover' text. The Latitude and Longitude values are the marker pins location, and the Information value is the description displayed when the marker is clicked on.
Once the map location list has been created, you can add and edit the Metal Cloud Locations Map Plus app part, and set the List Name Custom Property to the name of the locations map list that you want to display. The other properties, for example, width and height can also be set to affect how the map looks.
You can get the Latitude and Longitude values from the Google Maps website, right-clicking and selecting What's here?. This copies the latitude and longitude values to the search box shown below:
